Case Management

Survivors of intimate partner and sexual violence may have multiple needs and encounter significant barriers following an assault. Advocacy-based case managers at TurnAround can assist survivors on an ongoing basis in connecting with services and resources, obtaining information, addressing work and school concerns, and paying attention to safety. Case managers can help survivors navigate the complex justice system while maintaining a focus on the health and well-being of the survivor.

Advocacy-based case managers provide:

  • Safety planning; at home, school, work, and in the  community
  • Information and assistance concerning protective or peace orders
  • Connection to crime victim resources, such as criminal injury compensation and victim notification
  • Accompaniment to court, interviews, and hearings
  • Advocacy for victims’ rights, including the right to privacy, to be informed, and to be treated with respect
  • Connection to counseling, legal services, health care, safe housing, crisis response and other services
  • Assistance with decision-making, goal-setting, developing skills to support healing and well being
